About Us

Welcome

Hallam Primary School extends a warm welcome to all families, particularly those who are beginning their journey with us. Our school is situated on the traditional lands of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge their custodianship of this land where we come to work and learn each day.

Our school’s core values of Fairness, Growth, Respect and Teamwork were thoughtfully developed in collaboration with our School Leadership Team (SLT). These values guide our daily decisions, actions and interactions. In 2026, Hallam Primary School began our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) journey with the values working in conjunction with our four behaviour expectations; Be safe, be responsible, be a learner, be kind.

We implement a high-quality educational program designed to prepare our students for success in the 21st century and are proud of our strong academic successes. Hallam Primary school places strong emphasis on explicit teaching and structured English and Mathematics lessons.

Equally important is the breadth of opportunities we provide. Our specialist programs in AUSLAN, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, STEM, and Physical Education enrich the learning experience, giving students opportunities to discover their talents and shine outside of their regular classroom. Hallam Primary School has an exceptional Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program where students in every year level are involved in growing and harvesting fresh produce to produce three course, nutritionally balanced meals to share with their peers.

At the heart of our success are our incredible staff. Guided by the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0) and Victorian Department of Education priorities, our teachers continually refine their practice through professional learning, collegiate discussions, coaching, and collaboration. Our leadership team actively oversee staff development, building consistency in the knowledge and skills of our teachers so they can deliver the highest-quality learning for your children.

Our professional commitment extends beyond the classroom with experienced Leadership and Wellbeing Teams working alongside staff to support the diverse needs of our learners. By fostering an appreciation for learning and providing a solid educational foundation, we aim to prepare our students for a seamless transition to the next phase of their educational journey.

We look forward to partnering with you to build a productive future for all our students.
